What does that word mean?

Pochteca were professional, long-distance traveling merchants in the Aztec Empire. 

Using the concept of traveling merchants, Louie and Lucy Villarreal formed Pochteca Produce. Louie has 35+ years of experience in the retail produce business. He knows the local growers, what they grow, and how to get the best price. Our mission is to bring the freshest produce to the High Desert communities of California. 

In addition to produce, we carry raw honey, flavored nuts and dried fruit. We also take special orders, whether it be for exotic items, business to business and even co-ops. 

Pochteca Produce can be found at local community markets such as Hesperia Civic Center and The Market at Town’s End in Apple Valley. Please see our schedule to find out where we will be so that you can pick up this season’s favorites.
